To kick off our "Meet the Team" series for 2021, we have Travis Ekhaml! The winner of our company's 2020 Go-Getter award, Travis has quickly made his mark at Lynk Remote Technologies. A man who wears many hats, meet Travis.
 
Where are you from + where are you located currently?
Born and Raised in San Diego. Located in East County. Ride or Die.

When did you first join LRT?
I joined the team early September this year.

What is your position? Your tasks and responsibilities?
Position: Hardware Technician
  • Ensure products are built, tested, and shipped to customer with highest quality.
  • Support existing and new commercial products.
  • Train new employees for production, and order fulfillment.
  • Document, and improve company processes.
  • Work with development team in tracking, and correcting product deficiencies.
  • Anything that the team needs done. 

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?
Contract Manufacturer Get Done'r / Production Influencer  / Order Fulfilment Overseer

Favorite books, podcasts, movies, TV shows pertaining to your position?
The occasional TedTalk about computer design, and Con Air (but specifically all of the scenes related to manufacturing)

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
8 years working for a computer development and production company. Went through the IT, Production, Test, RMA, and Research and Development departments before resting in the Engineering department for 4 years.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Fatherhood, leatherworking and videogames. In that order.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
A lot of freedom to make decisions for the company and product. Everyone is working together to reach the company goals rather than focusing on their own goals exclusively.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
My father. Work hard, and provide for as many as you can.
